Smti Holika Sukhalu

Born on 11th of January, 1990, Smt. Holika Sukhalu completed her higher education from The Assam Valley School, Assam in the year 2008. Thereafter, she graduated from Lady Sri Ram College, Delhi University with a Hons. degree in Sociology in 2011, before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law (Campus Law Centre), Delhi University in 2014.

On completion of her studies, she enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in the year 2015. She briefly practiced at the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and subordinate Courts in Delhi, as well as the National Green Tribunal before joining service

She joined the Nagaland Judicial Service as a Grade – III Officer on 12th June, 2018 and assumed charge of the Court and Office of the Civil Judge (Jr.) Division / Judicial Magistrate First Class, Longleng (w.e.f 01/07/2019 to 18/06/2022); briefly held additional charge of the Court and office of Civil Judge (Sr.) Division/ Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mokokchung (w.e.f 14/10/2019 to 11/007/2020); Civil Judge (Jr.) Division / Judicial Magistrate First Class, Dimapur (w.e.f 20/06/2022 to 25/09/2023) and as Civil Judge (Sr) Division/Judicial Magistrate First Class, Kiphire with additional charge of the Court of Civil Judge (Jr) Division/Judicial Magistrate First Class, Phek w.e.f 22.12.2023 till date.

She is presently holding the charge of the Office and Court of Civil Judge (Sr.) Division/ Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kiphire since 24.09.2023 with additional charges of the Court of Civil Judge (Jr) Division/Judicial Magistrate First Class, Phek.

She also performed the following Judicial Service:-
1. Principal Magistrate, Juvenile justice Board (Longleng, Mokokchung, Dimapur, Kiphire and Phek)
2. Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (Longleng, Mokokchung, Kiphire and Phek)
